There's a lot of talk of virtual reality these days but there's another quiet revolution happening in the field of augmented reality.
One of the leading lights is the Microsft HoloLens, which projects elements into the real world so you can interact with them. It's an incredible idea and the demos to date have been really impressive. Now they've found the element that was really missing- George Takei.
This Actiongram app allows you to take little hologram elements and add them to anything you're looking at, or even other video content. Takei is just one of the things you can use, including unicorns and cats (obviously) which can be layered into the 'real' world.
Now you can create videos to share online with your own live elements, with the only limit being your imagination. Oh and also the fact that you'll have to buy a HoloLens system, which is only available in North America and costs three grand...
