Those who enjoy hitting the Share button on their PlayStation 4 controller may be pleased to hear that they’ll be able to do a lot more with their clips from now on.
Included in the latest update are a range of new themes, filters, and editing options. The app has also been improved from a technical standpoint so that user videos can be better than ever, according to Sony.
Users have more options when choosing clips; can use the Saturate Filter for over- or under- colour-saturated film clips or screen shots; change the intensity of filters; and generate a thumbnail that better represents the clip. The new update also improves the Audio Quality for playback, and adds support for high quality microphones for commentary recording.
Expected in the near future is the 2.0 firmware update. This will add Share Play, which lets players to virtually pass your controller to a friend; and the ability to upload clips directly to YouTube.
