Virtual Reality is all the rage right now, with the likes of Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive set to debut in a few short weeks. And they're not the only players in this emerging field, as Sony also has the PlayStation VR in the works.
Despite being around for a number of years at this point, the VR - previously named Project Morpheus - is still a pretty mysterious device. We know it's going to launch as something like a new console in terms of price and that it will work with the PS4. It also looks pretty neat and will use those weird PS Move motion controllers.
Other than that, it's all a bit of a secret but hopefully that's about to change. Sony has just sent out invites to an exclusive PlayStation VR event in California on the 15th of March 2016. It will include a presentation and hours of hands on time so at the very least we can expect more impressions from outlets and we'll also be hoping for pricing and a release date for the highly anticipated system.
More as we get it.
