Before you shell out the bones of $10,000 for an Apple Watch, or $349 if you have more reasonable tastes, why not preview how it will look?
Apple’s own Apple Store app allows you to browse through the various models and save your favourites. The app also lets you see the 38mm and 42mm versions of the Watch represented at their actual size. So, with a little bit of imagination, you can get an idea of what it’ll look like on you. It’s certainly the most affordable way to see the more expensive variations of the Apple Watch.
If you have a larger iPhone, i.e. the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, the results are less than perfect. And those viewing on an iPad won’t be able to get an idea of scale. The app will simply show the two sizes side-by-side on a tablet.
Of course, you don’t have too long to wait until you can see the Apple Watch in the flesh. The wearable will be available to pre-order in certain territories from April 10th and will then go on sale on April 24th. It will arrive slightly later in Ireland, but hopefully we won’t be left waiting too long.
