Microsoft yesterday unveiled new information about the specifications of the upcoming Project Scorpio console, revealing a very impressive console set to rival PCs in terms of computing power.
The information about the new console comes from Digital Foundry, and some of the key points include:
- 6 teraflops (the PS4 Pro features 4.2 teraflops)
- 12GB of GDDR5 memory
- 8 custom x86 cores
- 326GB/s memory bandwidth
- 1TB hard drive
- 4K UHD Blu-ray optical drive
The specs essentially reveal that the Project Scorpio will be the most powerful video games console on the market when it launches later this year, and one that could rival even the mighty PC.
