Reddit finally launches official smartphone app

After spending a period of time in beta, Reddit's smartphone app is now available on Android and iOS.

The app allows users to browse the site, search its array of subreddits, and submit new content. It's also possible to customise the app's appearance.

Users who sign up with a verified Reddit account get three months of Reddit gold for free. This is the site's premium subscription service, which comes with a number of benefits, including the ability to turn off ads, a custom Reddit alien avatar, new comment highlighting, and the ability to add notes to friends, among others.

Check out the official Reddit app, available from the App Store and Google Play Store now.
