After yesterday’s image of the Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5, we now have an idea of the A5’s specs thanks to a benchmark test.
The mid-range device’s results were found on GFXBench, and they stack up with what we’ve heard previously. However, there are a few key differences. It was previously reported that the A5 had a 5-inch display, but it is listed here with a 4.8-inch 720 x 1280 display.
Another difference is the camera. It was rumoured to feature a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera, but the benchmark reveals a 12 megapixel and 4.7 megapixel camera respectively.
The biggest difference arises when looking at the processor. The benchmark reveals that it is a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410. This chip can access more memory at once, which could potentially mean an improved performance.
With so many leaks in recent weeks, we expect Samsung to announce the A3 and A5 in the near future. It’s only a matter of time.
