With Mobile World Congress just around the corner, we’re getting a better idea of what Samsung may have planned for its conference. The latest addition to its planned line-up could well be a successor to the Galaxy Round.
A new smartphone with the model number SM-G930 was spotted online by PhoneArena. That in itself doesn’t offer any conclusive proof that it is the Galaxy Round 2, but more digging indicates that it’s likely to be the case.
You see, the Samsung Galaxy S6 seems to bear the model number SM-G920. The Galaxy S6 Edge variant replaces the last number with a 5 (SM-G920). Meanwhile, the original Galaxy Round used the model number SM-G910, which was 10 digits more than the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900). It may be a bit of a stretch, but it is some indication that a successor to the Galaxy Round is the most likely announcement.
There is always the chance that Samsung will surprise us with something completely unexpected. Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait. Mobile World Congress is just a little over a week away.
