Rugged smartphones often trade specs for toughness, but that may not be the case with the Galaxy S6 Active. The smartphone is tipped to have a QHD 1440 x 2560 screen.
Napidroid.hu spotted a user agent profile for a handset that’s thought to be the Galaxy S6 Active. It lists a QHD screen for a handset with the model number SM-G890A.
This is consistent with what we’ve heard before. Previous rumours also suggest the S6 Active will have an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED+ display, 3GB of RAM and 16 megapixel and 5 megapixel cameras.
The Galaxy S6 Active will be water and dust resistant, and is also said to have a large 3,500mAh battery.
Those looking for a premium smartphone will probably still choose the sleek Galaxy S6, but the S6 Active looks likely to be a consideration for those who need added protection and toughness.
Samsung is likely to announce the Galaxy S6 Active soon.
