The Samsung Galaxy S6 will have a 5-inch display, according to specs listed on the Indian import tracking website Zauba.
If these alleged specs turn out to be true, it would mean that the Galaxy S6’s display is 0.1-inches smaller than the Galaxy S5’s. It’s not much of a difference, but enough to make it the first time that the flagship’s display has shrunk.
The handset’s processor woes have been in the news of late, and the specs listed here confirm that Samsung is dropping Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip. Instead, the Galaxy S6 will utilise an Exynos 7420 chipset with octa-core CPU. It will also have 3GB RAM and a 20 megapixel camera.
It will be hard for Samsung to surprise us at this stage. A couple of days ago, the handset was leaked in allegedly official case images from Spigen. These cases showed off the handset’s camera and heart rate sensor location.
We don’t have long to wait until the Galaxy S6 is officially announced. Samsung is likely to unveil its latest flagship handset at Mobile World Congress at the beginning of March.
