Samsung may be working on the ultimate smartwatch

After releasing a variety of smartwatches in quick succession, Samsung announced that it may be time to take a break. But it’s not planning to abandon the smartwatch completely; instead, Samsung appears to be working on a truly all-in-one device.

A new Samsung patent has emerged, showcasing what the manufacturer may have planned. The watch may come with a round face, and a rotating bezel ring that can be used for navigation. It will apparently have object and image recognition, as well as barcode recognition. It may also be possible to use it as a remote control for your TV and as a key for your car. And, of course, it will monitor your health and activity.

Samsung’s Executive Vice President of Mobile Marketing, Young-hee Lee previously said, “We've been introducing more devices than anybody else. It's time for us to pause. We want a more perfect product." It looks as though Samsung may be putting this increased development time to good use.
