Samsung may show off Android smartwatch at Google I/O
Samsung is reported to be planning an unveil of a smartwatch using Google’s Android Wear operating system at this week’s I/O expo.

The company will join the likes of Motorola and LG who are also expected to announce Android Wear smartwatches. The latest rumour comes courtesy of CNET sources are reportedly familiar with the matter.

Up to this point, Samsung has been utilising its own Tizen software to power its Gear-branded wearables. An announcement like this would allow the company to diversify its offerings and show a commitment to Google at the same time.

Samsung declined to comment on the report. However, we don’t have long to wait as Google’s I/O event takes place on June 25th.
