The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 released early in its home country of South Korea last week and Samsung's new flagship has brought in huge sales and great reviews. But there has been one issue - and it's a gap.
Apparently some Note 4 handsets feature a wider than expected gap between the screen area and the rest of the body of the phone. Pictures have appeared on social media showing that users can fit a business card into the resulting gap.
A couple of days on and it appears it was all part of the plan - the user manual for the Note 4 features the following reference to this gap: "A small gap appears around the outside of the device case…This gap is a necessary manufacturing feature and some minor rocking or vibration of parts may occur…Over time, friction between parts may cause this gap to expand slightly."
Not only was it part of Samsung's design but its actually intended to reduce wear in the device and it doesn't have any negative effect on how the phone operates. Good news for those waiting for the international release of the Galaxy Note 4.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launches in Ireland on the 10th of October 2014.
