Next year's iPhone could be redesigned completely and is being tipped to feature a curved display. Nikkei reports that Samsung will manufacture the curved display for Apple.
Samsung is one of the most knowledgeable when it comes to curved displays, so it makes sense that Apple would want to tap into this expertise. Of course, contrary to what some may want to believe, Samsung has provided Apple with iPhone parts in the past, including processors, RAM, and internal memory.
This year's iPhone is expected to be pretty similar to its predecessors. However, next year's could be made of all-glass, feature a wraparound screen, could be larger than 5.5-inches in size, and could even pack an always-on display.
It will be interesting to see how this year's iPhone cycle fares with a more exciting, or at least very different, handset expected next year.
