Samsung trademark application points to smart glass device
Samsung looks like it could expand its range of wearable tech if a recent trademark application in South Korea is successful.

The company filed a trademark application for “Samsung Gear Blink,” which would go toe-to-toe with Google’s Glass. This is the latest in a series of moves towards this market, as Samsung previously filed patents for augmented reality glasses, including one for a virtual keyboard projected onto the wearer’s hands, and different types of headsets.

Reports from Korea, according to The Guardian, indicate that the device could go on sale by September of this year. Google Glass went on sale to the general public recently, so Samsung may have some catching up to do by the time the Gear Blink is released.
