Samsung's first selfie phone allegedly spotted

With the selfie craze in full swing, Samsung looks like its set to join the ranks of smartphone manufacturers producing dedicated selfie smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, according to Vietnamese site thegioididong.com, will be the device to propel the South Korean company into the fray. The site posted photos and specs of the alleged device.

The device will feature a 5-inch 540 x 960 display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. Most importantly, it will boast a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for capturing selfies, along with an 8 megapixel main camera. The rear-facing camera is capable of recording video in 1080p.

No word yet whether or not the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime will come to Europe. However, the handset will reportedly launch in Vietnam in October for less than 5 million VND, which translates to about $236.
