The S5 mini will be slightly larger than the S4 mini, featuring a 4.5-inch display and a similar appearance to the full-sized Galaxy S5. It will come with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and the S5’s 16 megapixel camera has been replaced by an 8 megapixel variant.
However, S5 mini owners will get their hands on the S5’s level of water resistance, connectivity with the latest Samsung wearable devices, the Ultra Power Saving Mode, the heart rate monitor and a fingerprint scanner.
Samsung plan to release the Galaxy S5 mini in Russia initially in July, with a global launch to follow. The device will be available in Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold.
