Sky Go is a service which grants access to live TV via laptop, mobile or console. Though you can scratch that last one off the list come July 29th. Sky recently sent a letter to its customers, stating, "from 29 July you'll no longer be able to access Sky Go using your Sky Go compatible games console."

Unless of course you elect to pay £5 per month for Sky Go Extra.

Well, it could be argued the ability to register up to four devices, over the original two, is worth the extra cash. But you’d be wrong. More valuable is the ability to download shows for offline viewing. But sixty quid a year’s worth of value?...

No word yet as to why this decision has been made. But making an educated guess, read. Cynical guess, I’d imagine Sky recently came to the realisation that they like the idea of fivers over the idea of no-fivers!
