Solitaire is coming back to Windows 10

Microsoft is bringing back Solitaire as a built-in game on Windows 10. We can hear office workers everywhere rejoicing already.

Strangely, despite acknowledging that classic games like Solitaire, Minesweeper, and Hearts "have a devoted following," Microsoft removed them from Windows 8. There were versions to download from the Windows Store. But that’s not quite as convenient or nostalgic as the Start > Programs> Accessories > Games sequence.

Microsoft hasn’t said if other games such as Minesweeper, Hearts, or even that Pinball game, will be added to Windows 10. The new OS will be released this summer, so there is time for those games to be added. Otherwise, you’ll have to search the Windows Store.

Solitaire joins the Start Menu as fan favourites making a comeback in Windows 10. The Windows 10 Start Menu looks like a hybrid of the best of Windows 7 and Windows 8. It has the traditional layout with all your folders, and a selection of Live Tiles on the other side.
