Sony announces waterproof Xperia M2 Aqua
Sony today announced a waterproof version of its mid-range handset, the Xperia M2.

The Xperia M2 Aqua can be submerged in up to 1.5 metres deep in fresh water for up to 30 minutes and it is dust proof as well. Besides its water-resistant features, the Xperia M2 Aqua boasts a 4.8-inch display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage. It features a microSD slot, so you can expand this further.

Its 8 megapixel camera can be used underwater thanks to the dedicated camera button, while the Xperia M2 Aqua also has a 1.1 megapixel front-facing camera.

Sony is set to launch the Xperia M2 Aqua in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America from autumn 2014.
