Sony is working on an official Remote Play app for PC and Mac.
Shuhei Toshida, Sony's president of Worldwide Studios, confirmed that a Remote Play app is on the way. "Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac," he tweeted.
Remote Play is currently available to those with an Xperia Z2 smartphone or later or a PlayStation Vita. This would open the feature up to even more PlayStation owners.
It's unclear how long the app has been in development. Perhaps this is a response to a developer taking it upon himself to make this a reality or even to counteract the Xbox One's newfound ability to stream games to Windows 10 devices.
Sony has not said when this Remote Play app is expected to be released.
