Sony revealed a new type of ‘open-ear’ audio technology based on the Xperia Ear this week during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
The Xperia Ear ‘Open-style CONCEPT’ utilises two powerful spatial acoustic conductors to transmit sounds directly to the ear canal, allowing wearers to fully hear both audio from the wireless headphones and the ambient sounds of the world around them.
In addition to unveiling the Xperia Ear ‘Open-style CONCEPT’, Sony also revealed ‘Anytime Talk’, a new voice-chat service that allows Xperia Ear users to start group conversations in real-time by simply pressing a single button.
The ‘Anytime Talk’ beta will roll out for the Xperia Ear in the coming months.
