Sony released the Xperia Z4 quietly in Japan earlier this month without mentioning an international release. A specs leak suggests that the Xperia P2 handset will fill that void.
Chinese site cnBeta posted images and specs of the Xperia P2. It has the same 5.2-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM.
There are a couple of differences however. The design looks more compact with the P2 featuring slimmer bezels around the screen. It measures 10.9mm at its thickest point, compared to the Xperia Z4, which was just 6.9mm. The tradeoff is that it could feature a massive 4240mAh battery.
The Xperia P2’s camera may not be quite as impressive as the Z4’s. A 12.1 megapixel camera is listed, which is surprising considering Sony’s flagships have packed a 20.7 megapixel camera for some time.
Perhaps it’s best to take this leak with a pinch of salt for now.
