A benchmark listing suggests that a follow-up to the Xperia X range released earlier this year is on the way.
The GFXBench listing was spotted by Xperia Blog and outs a Sony handset with the model number F8331. Despite the lack of an official name, it has high-end specs with a Snapdragon 820 processor and 3GB of RAM.
The device is also tipped to feature a 5.1-inch 1080p screen, a 21MP rear camera, and a 12MP front-facing one.
Like the Xperia X released earlier this year, there could be multiple variants of this upcoming handset. Xperia Blog also found a user agent profile mentioning the F8332.
Sony has previously used IFA in September as an event to launch handsets, and could well launch the Xperia X2 at IFA 2016, which takes place the first week of September.
