IFA is about to kick off in Berlin, running from the 5th to the 9th of September, and we can expect plenty of news everyday from the world of tech.
And we can also expect plenty of leaks, like the image above. It comes from Ausdroid.netand isn't just a blurry shot taken on a cameraphone, its a full on press image of the not yet announced Sony Xperia Z3 compact. And it looks pretty neat.
The compact phenomenon has been a pretty strange new addition in recent years, promising the power of a flagship phone in a smaller form factor. In truth the specs are often comparable but these compact versions aren't particularly small, with the Z3 compact rumoured to feature a 4.5 inch screen.
Other specs that come from an early leak include a 2.5 GHz quad core processor, a 720p display and 2 gigs of RAM, as well as a 20MP camera. So not the fastest phone on the planet by any means and it does look very similar to previous versions of the Z compact range. Still, its a niche that has a place in the market and Sony is filling it with plenty of updated product.
Stay tuned for more news from IFA 2014.
