Sony's Xperia Z4 Music could launch at MWC

It was previously rumoured that Sony would release multiple versions of the Xperia Z4, and it looks like one of those could be a music-focused Walkman edition.

The only proof comes in the form of a leaked image spotted by iGeek. This suggests that the upcoming Xperia Z4 handset, which may be titled the Z4 Music, will include hi-res audio codec support, and S-Force PRO front-facing speakers. If you’re fond of playing music on a mobile device, this handset may be one for you.

Other reports suggest that the device will feature a 5.4-inch QHD 1440 x 2560 display, but there have been varying reports regarding the processor. The leaked image below states that the Xperia Z4 Music will have a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with 3GB RAM.The handset is expected to arrive in five colours.

It is likely, and indeed suggested by the report, that Sony will unveil the Xperia Z4 at Mobile World Congress in March. Sony previously showed off a premium Walkman device at CES, which piqued the interest of audiophiles. Clearly, it is hoping to build on this solid foundation by bringing its Walkman technology to its reputable Xperia line-up.
