Available across iOS, Android and even via Amazon, the addictive game recently notched the hugely impressive 100 million downloads milestone. To celebrate, Imangi Studios have released some pretty eye-watering statistics for fans to chew over. Interestingly, the game is downloaded mostly on iPhone, with 68% of players on Apple's iPhone and 30% downloaded through Google Play. 2% of downloads come through Amazon.
When the game launched in August 2011 on Apple's App Store, it originally launched at 99 cents. However, it was the move to free-to-play a month later that really saw the game take off.
Staggeringly, 13% of the population of the United States have now downloaded the game, with 11% of UK and Ireland residents playing, and 13% of Australians. Unfortunately, no figures were available for Canada. Over 10 billion sessions have been played, with over 54,000 years spent playing the game.
