The Nokia name is no more, at least on smartphones which previously carried the brand.
That's because Microsoft is phasing out the name in favour of its own, following on from their acquisition of Nokia in early 2014. They're now the sole owners of Nokia's mobile phone division and will be consolidating smartphones under a Microsoft brand. There's even a report that the MS Surface tablets could be rebranded as Lumia.
The news comes directly from a post on the Nokia France Facebook Page, where they let their users know that the page title was going to change to 'Microsoft Lumia'. There's no confirmed date for when this is happening, beyond mentioning 'in the coming days' and no other Nokia Facebook pages have had the same message posted.
