OnePlus went all out last year with their major phone the OnePlus 2 as well as the OnePlus X, stretching the company almost to breaking point. And that isn't going to happen again, despite recent rumours of a OnePlus 3 mini handset.
OnePlus' CEO Carl Pei didn't spend much time responding to the rumour.
This is very much in line with what the company has been saying in the wake of the release of the OnePlus 3. Pei made it clear that trying to release two high quality-low cost handsets in the same year was diluting the quality of what they were producing, leading to a disappointing launch for the OnePlus 2 in particular.
That means they're committed to a single class leading smartphone at a time, which seems to be working out well for the company as people are buying into the OnePlus 3 system.
