There have been rumours that LG has been working on a Windows phone for years. And a leaked image is set to throw fuel on that fire.
The leak doesn’t give too much away. The phone appears to be running Windows 8.1 rather than Windows 10. This suggests that the handset will arrive before the release of Windows 10 for phones. Neowin estimates that the device, which is codenamed Lancet, has a 4.5- to 5-inch display based on the size of the tiles on screen.
The handset bears Verizon’s logo, but all we can gleam from that is that it will be released in North America and available on the Verizon network. There’s no indication if it will be released further afield.
LG is hosting an event on April 28th where it is expected to unveil the LG G4. Will it announce a new Windows phone at the same time? It seems unlikely, but we will keep you up to date with any developments.
