Roll up, roll up - it's time to let a website make judgements on your age and gender based on a single photograph!
It's all based on a new project by Microsoft which uses their face detection API to gather information and try to figure out how old the person is and whether they're male or female. It all came out of the BUILD conference which showed off the new Edge browser and had some serious fun with VR headset hololens.
But let's get down to the serious stuff. All you have to do is pop over to this website and upload your own photo. You can also use Bing to search for faces online (see how it does with celebs) or you could also use some of the canned examples MS provides. But come on, this is all about seeing whether it can judge you, so upload your own.
Here's what happened when we tried. Daniel Radcliffe is actually 25 and it added almost 20 years to this writer's age...
So it's definitely not that accurate, though its nice that Microsoft include this message after every time you use it:
"Sorry if we didn’t quite get the age and gender right – we are still improving this feature."
Give it a go and see how you fare - and don't forget to tweet with #HowOldRobot
