Twitter is experimenting with the embedding function for iOS and Android, which will see tweets replicate other media such as pictures and video. Copy the link to the tweet that you want to broadcast and paste it into the tweet you’re writing and followers will get a preview of that tweet.
The function will only work for mobile devices for now, so if you’re hoping to garner extra attention on a desktop browser you’re going to be sorely disappointed. This Twitter update will roll out to selected users ahead of a more universal rollout.
The Next Web has done a little mock-up of what the feature may look like. Are you looking forward to adding your words of wisdom to a retweet, or are you happy enough to just let the original author get all the glory?
