Twitch's Host Mode will let you showcase worthy channels
Twitch will soon allow any channel owner to act as a network executive with the introduction of Host Mode. This allows channel owners to embed another channel’s broadcast into their own Twitch feed.

If you’re not streaming, or you feel that there are channels that deserve more attention, you can embed another person’s stream. The chat stream will continue as normal, so those chatting can continue to do so as they watch the embedded stream. This could be particularly useful for those who want to discuss a channel that only lets subscribers chat.

Viewers will be able to subscribe to the original channel directly and will count towards the original streamer’s viewer count.

Unfortunately, those hoping to live the life of a network executive will need an audience of their own before they begin. A channel utilising Host Mode will not appear in Twitch’s live directory, which means that viewers will not be able to find the channel indirectly until the mode is turned off.

Host Mode is the first of a few planned social features, according to Twitch’s senior product engineer Yoh Suzuki.
