Twitter is rolling out two new features, enabling users to have private conversations with groups of their followers or share 30-second videos.
Up until now, users could only message one of their followers directly via the Direct Message function. If you wanted to talk to multiple followers, you had to simply tweet publicly. But now, users can take advantage of the group messaging function to have private conversations with multiple followers simultaneously. These followers do not need to follow one another to engage in the conversation.
The social media site also announced a new mobile video feature that will enable users to capture, edit, and share videos, all from within the Twitter app. Users can capture 30-second videos, edit them using Twitter's inline editing tools, and share them immediately with their followers.
Meanwhile, iPhone users will be able to upload videos from their camera roll, a feature that will be available on Twitter’s Android app in the near future.
