Twitter Explore replaces Moments

Twitter Explore replaces Moments

Twitter yesterday announced a new Explore feature for its iOS and Android mobile apps, which will replace the Moments tab.

The new Explore tab is designed to make it easier for users to find interesting and relevant content, and combines the aforementioned Moments with trends, search and live video highlights.

Previously, all four features were kept in separate areas of Twitter’s mobile app interface, but the new Explore tab simplifies and improves user experience.

In a post on the Twitter blog, project designer Angela Lam said:

“Over the past year, we’ve been exploring different ways to make it simpler for people to find and use trends, Moments, and search. During our research process, people told us that the new Explore tab helped them easily find news, what’s trending, and what’s popular right now.”

Explore is now available for iOS users, and will be rolled out for Android in the coming weeks.
