Twitter wants to bring the Olympics to you

The 2016 Olympic Games kick off in Rio on the 5th of August and the whole world is going to go mad for the Olympics for the next few weeks.

Twitter wants to make sure you're there for every triumph and disaster with a host of ways to follow the action live and get involved. There a number of important Twitter accounts which will be constantly updated including the below.

@RIO2016

You'll also not only be able to tweet out your nations flag (Ireland is #IRL) but also add emoji for specific sports and special events like the opening and closing ceremonies. Some folks are already stating to use the emoji online.

There will be live Periscopes from Brazil and also a host of Vine content, and Twitter has a huge screen projected onto the Arcos de Lapa aquaduct where you'll be able to see Tweets from around the world.
