As with the iOS and Android apps, which were released quite some time ago, all you have to do is set a pickup location, select the type of vehicle required and then wait for your driver. You don’t need to carry cash as payment is handled via the credit card registered to the account.
The Windows Phone Uber app isn’t quite on a par with its iOS and Android counterparts yet though. It’s not possible to split fares with other customers and the app can’t provide fare quotes. Uber says that it will be adding these features within a month.
The previous app was comparable to a wrapper for a mobile site, but this app is a proper and certified one.Uber’s Windows Phone app is now available from the Windows Store for free.
