Drones are here, and they're going to be everywhere very soon, so we need to get ready for when they decide to fight back.
Joking aside, the cost of drones is steadily dropping and with changes in legislation it could be easier than ever to fly even larger models in many public places. That's fine when you're a good and honest citizen but what happens when you're intentionally spying on your neighbours or otherwise breaking the law?
It's going to be tough to catch flying machines if they're up to something dodgy, unless you're using your own drones and then it just becomes aerial Robot Wars - which would be pretty cool now we think of it. The other option you probably didn't consider was training birds of prey to take down the airborne intruders, because that's absolutely crazy. And the Dutch police force got there first...
Firstly, eagles are bloody massive and secondly we wouldn't want our expensive drone to be snatched out of the sky like that! The fight for the future of our skies is at hand, and you're going to have to decide if you're on the side of the bots or the eagles.
