One hundred drones took to the skies over Flugplatz Ahrenlohe, Tornesch, Germany to set a world record for the Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously.
These drones were launched into the air in formation, controlled by a team on the ground using PCs with Intel software, and lit up the night sky to a live performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. The result is a spectacular light show and fireworks display.
The footage was shown off this week during Intel CEO Brian Krzani’s keynote on the opening day at CES.
Drones look set to be a big thing this year; a light show is just one more thing that they can be utilised for.
