Virtual reality is here, pretty much. As the first Oculus Rift systems make their way out to users we're about ready to be launched into a new world of entertainment. Provided you have the specs of course.
There's another way to get on board the revolution, with a cheap headset that uses your phone as the gateway to VR. These packs, like Google Cardboard, aren't anywhere near as fully featured as Rift or the HTC Vive, but they do give you an impressive taste of the technology and plenty of new material is going to be released in the months and years to come.
The latest tantalising feature is a virtual reality tour of Abbey Road studios which lets you peer around inside the famous music making place. There's even an audio tour to give you more background information, It all stemmed from an interactive tour called Inside Abbey Road and builds on it with by creating 3D panoramas to explore.
That full experience is available over here and it's well worth a look. The VR version has to be downloaded as a separate app and you'll need a headset to use it.
