Vive Video adds home theatre mode to HTC VR

HTC Creative Labs has added Vive Video, a video player for virtual reality, for HTC VR headset owners to download as noted in a post on the Vive blog.

The new feature supports a range of media including 2D, 3D, 180-degree and full 360-degree videos, and offers environment options to make the viewing experience more cinema-like.

In addition, digital tracking enables viewers watching surround videos to move around and watch as the content adapts to their changing perspective.

Vive Video is now available to download in the Viveport app store, and comes with a teaser for the 360-degree video Invasion!
