Essentially, Apple has launched a battery replacement service. This sprang into existence as the Cupertino conglomerate discovered a fault in the iPhone 5 battery which could prompt “shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently”.
To find out if your iPhone 5 is eligible for this replacement scheme, simply input the serial number into the following link.
To find you serial number head to Settings, General, About this device.
The replacement service has been in operation since August 22nd in both the US and China. Other countries need wait until August 29th to avail of this scheme.
