The Lumia Camera app will reportedly be the stock camera app for all Windows 10 devices.
This wasn’t announced at Microsoft’s event yesterday, but Engadget since learned that this will be the case. Even if you’re using a Windows device made by a different manufacturer, you’ll get the same photography experience as those using Lumia devices.
Lumia camera comes with a range of useful features, including 4K video recording, auto-HDR, and the ability to tweak the brightness of a shot by taking a photo both with the flash and without. The new Lumia Camera app should also launch and take successive shots faster than the current version.
Currently, there are only a handful of non-Microsoft Windows 10 devices available. However, with Microsoft hoping to broaden Windows 10’s reach, other manufacturers may be pleased that they will be able to take advantage of some of the Lumia camera’s best features.
