Xbox One owners will soon be able to snap screenshots and pad out their friends list with recommendations.
The March update is rolling out to preview programme members today, and a full public release is expected to take place at the beginning of March. Screenshots have been one of the most-requested features from the community since Microsoft started taking suggestions.
To take a screenshot, simply double-tap the Xbox button. You can then press Y to save your screenshot. Pictures are viewable on the newly updated Upload app, and you can set this image as your console’s background.
Microsoft is also going to help you find more people to play with. The March update adds a Suggested Friends option for finding people that you might know. It will also recommend popular streamers for games that you’re playing. Just be glad that PewDiePie doesn’t play on Xbox or it would be yet another platform that we get prompted to follow him day in, day out.
Also coming in the update are ways to share your real name, ways to report spam messages, and the ability to vary the transparency of your home screen tiles.
