The smartphone market is getting even more competitive, with Chinese brands like Huawei making their presence felt at the top of the heap.
Another brand that's on the rise is Xiaomi which already has a suite of successful products. They're set to launch a new handset that will definitely have a niche appeal.
The new Mi Max has one of the largest screen sizes around for a phone at a massive 6.44 inches. It operates in that phablet territory and is more designed for productivity than easy one handed use.
The phablet sports a massive 4,850mAh battery which is going to be neccessary with a screen that size. The best news though is that the cheapest model, with 3 gigs of RAM and 32 gigs of storage starts at just $230 or a little over €200.
It's prices like this which are helping Xiaomi at the forefront in markets like China and could soon see them dominating in other areas around the world. The Mi Max is launching in China next week and will hopefully be coming to Europe soon.
