Microsoft has been making some changes lately, even making the decision to start developing apps for other platforms to widen their audience.
A number of apps have appeared on Android and iOS and now they're integrating their services even more with other providers. The Xim photo sharing app was launched in October, providing an easy way to share photos across different mobile handsets using just a phone number or email address.
It's a handy tool, and a major update has just made it even more useful. Now you can use Xim to interface with devices like Apple TV, Google Chromecast, the Xbox One and Amazon's Fire TV to send photos to your television. It's interesting to see Microsoft willing to work with other companies in this way, especially major rivals like Apple and Google, rather than just developing for their own (still fairly limited) Windows platform.
Xim is available on Android and iOS now.
