YouTube launches mobile app live streaming

After months of preparation YouTube has launched YouTube Live, the live streaming feature for its mobile app, as noted in an article from Mashable.

Unlike the live streaming features offered by rivals Facebook and Twitter, YouTube Live is for now focusing on the video streaming site’s top content creators rather than the everyday user.

However, Kurt Wilms, a product manager for YouTube Live, revealed in a media briefing back in January that the function will be accessible to all YouTube users in the coming weeks.

Users can access YouTube Live by simply clicking on the red capture button found in the top corner of the mobile app.
