It’s called "Women Who Eat On Tubes” and it can be found in the source link below.
And some/many believe it’s a bullying group, dedicated to stranger shaming women who have elected to chow down on London’s tube system. Naturally, the group itself denies this…
"[WWEOT] is observational not judgemental. It doesn't intimidate nor bully.
"Subjects are embraced and cherished. We celebrate and encourage women eating food on Tubes, we do not marginalise them."
That said they did post a code of conduct to avoid abusive posting, so the detractors might have a point. Unfortunately, there’s precious little the London Transport Authority can do about this craze. It’s not exactly illegal. The director of enforcement for Transport for London, Steve Burton, opened up, stating,
"Taking photos on the Tube isn't illegal, but we ask anyone doing so to ensure that they use common sense and respect for other passengers. If someone doesn't want their photo taken, it is obviously inappropriate to do so," he said.
"If any customer has concerns about such behaviour, believing there may be a sinister motive, they are advised to speak to our staff or the British Transport Police."
Speak up in the comments below if you have any strong feelings on the matter.
I have many strong feelings on the matter, personally. They’d almost all relate to these Women’s choice of food though…
