Benedict Cumberbatch cast in BBC's Richard III
All the Cumberbitches will be brushing up on their Shakespeare now

BBC have announced on Twitter that Benedict Cumberbatch will be working on their new Shakespeare adaptation of Richard III. They posted the message “We're delighted to be able to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch will play Richard III in our second series of Shakespeare's History plays”.

Benedict Cumberbatch himself weighed in on the conversation of his new role, telling The Telegraph “I can't wait to work with Dominic Cooke again to bring this complex, funny and dangerous character to life for the BBC and Neal Street Production's peerless series of Shakespeare's history plays”.

This won’t be the only Shakespearean role Cumberbatch will tackle in the next year, as he is cast as Hamlet at London’s Barbican Theatre in August 2015 for a 12-week run.
