If you have even a passing familiarity with Breaking Bad then you probably know that its about to get its own spin-off called Better Call Saul. It'll deal with the events which led to the creation of the uber-lawyer type who cropped up frequently in the original series to help solve the problems of our meth-cooking heroes.
Now, Saul is back - actually his name is Jimmy McGill at the start of the series, and we get to see the events which unfolded to turn him into Saul. The series will take place before, during and even after the timeline of Breaking Bad, so long as AMC gives it a couple of years to do so. Which is pretty much a given at this point.
The series starts airing in the US on Sunday the 8th of February but before all that you can get you head back in the game with a pretty cool comic which is appearing on the official AMC site. It's got fun connections to Breaking Bad (though the little notes which say which episode to go to are a bit much) that gives you an idea of how some of Saul might be structured.
A word of warning, it also had in-comic ads. Jesus.
Better Call Saul premieres on AMC in the US on the 8th of February before arriving first on Netflix in Ireland and the UK on the morning of Monday the 9th of February 2015.
